Care instructions
We're so glad you've chosen Alpaca Voladora pieces! Taking proper care of your new garments is the best way to ensure they remain beautiful and long-lasting. With just a few simple steps, you'll keep your items in excellent condition for years to come. One of the best ways to protect your clothes is by using the provided dust bag for proper storage, especially when you're not wearing them for extended periods or between seasons.
For the pieces containing Alpaca wool, here are the essential care instructions to keep your gorgeous pieces looking pristine, fresh, and luxurious for years to come:
- Washing: Always wash the garments strictly in cold water to protect the delicate alpaca fibers.
- Drying: Never wring or tumble dry; always lay them flat to dry to maintain their shape and structure.
- Finishing & Maintenance: Avoid ironing and dry cleaning. To keep them feeling fresh between wears, use a gentle textile refresher spray (such as Lenor Crease Releaser) by applying a light mist from 15–20 cm away, then let them air dry completely on a flat surface or hanger before storing.
- Storage Check: Always avoid sealing damp items inside bags to prevent trapped moisture. Also, store the pieces inside out to prevent the alpaca hair from wearing out.
For the pieces that are 100% cotton:
- Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold or cool water to prevent any unwanted shrinking and keep those colors looking rich and vibrant.
- Drying: Lay them flat or hang them to dry. Do not machine dry.
- Finishing & Maintenance: Cotton can handle ironing at medium temperatures. However, for long-lasting wear, ironing is not preferred.
- Storage Check: Cotton is easier to store and maintain, allowing you to hang it or store it folded.
